EKO HOT BLOG reports that Hayatu-Deen submitted the forms in Abuja on Wednesday evening, further strengthening his early lead in the race after previously emerging as the first aspirant to obtain the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.
The development signals the beginning of intensified political activities within the ADC as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
Speaking shortly after submitting the forms, Hayatu-Deen said his presidential ambition was driven by the urgent need to tackle Nigeria’s worsening economic hardship and growing insecurity.
According to him, his administration would focus on reducing the rising cost of living, creating employment opportunities and restoring security across the country if elected president.
He said his government would prioritise “aggressively lowering the skyrocketing cost of living,” while also unveiling “a clear roadmap for mass job creation.”
The presidential hopeful also pledged to implement “a strategic plan to end insecurity across the federation.”
Political observers believe Hayatu-Deen’s early moves may position him as one of the leading contenders within the ADC ahead of the party’s presidential primary.
The opposition party is expected to witness increased political activities in the coming weeks as more aspirants are anticipated to declare interest in the race.
The ADC has recently attracted growing attention amid ongoing political realignments and coalition discussions ahead of the 2027 elections, with several influential politicians across party lines reportedly considering alliances on the party’s platform.

The emerging political alignments have continued to fuel speculations about possible new opposition coalitions aimed at challenging the ruling party in the next presidential election.
