- Arsenal Confirm 15 Player Exits Ahead Of New Season
- Josh Nichols and Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko headline academy exits.
- No senior men’s first-team player was included on released list.
Arsenal have confirmed that 15 players across their men’s, women’s and academy teams will leave the club when their contracts expire on June 30, 2026.
The Premier League champions announced their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season, with several academy prospects and senior women’s team players set to depart the North London club.
Among the most notable exits from the men’s setup are right-back Josh Nichols and goalkeeper Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko. Both players spent time training with Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad, while Nichols made his senior debut during Arsenal’s League Cup victory over Bolton last season.

The full list of academy and youth players leaving Arsenal includes Sam Chapman, Harrison Dudziak, Seb Ferdinand, Cam’ron Ismail, Will Lannin-Sweet, Josh Nichols, Samuel Onyekachukwu and Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko.
Arsenal also confirmed the departure of seven players from Renee Slegers’ women’s squad, many of whom contributed to the club’s successful UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign last season.
The players set to leave the women’s team are Laia Codina, Katie McCabe, Beth Mead, Victoria Pelova, Barbora Votikova, Naomi Williams and Manuela Zinsberger.
Despite the departures, the club disclosed that discussions are still ongoing with three players whose contracts are due to expire this month.
According to Arsenal, negotiations continue with Caitlin Foord, while academy prospects Aleksander Marciniak and Joshua Ogunnaike are also in talks over potential contract extensions.
The changes come after another memorable season for the Gunners. Arteta’s side ended the club’s 22-year wait for a Premier League title, although their hopes of completing a historic double were dashed after a penalty shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final.
Notably, no senior men’s first-team player was included on the released list, indicating Arsenal’s intention to retain the core squad that secured domestic success.
The Gunners will begin preparations for the new season with a clash against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on August 16 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Arsenal, who have won the Community Shield 17 times, will enter the traditional curtain-raiser as Premier League champions, while Manchester City will participate as FA Cup holders.
