Local media and digital monitoring platforms in the state shared extensive video footage and photographic evidence showing heavy equipment leveling the criminal facility to the ground, reinforcing the state government’s zero-tolerance policy regarding violent crimes and kidnapping syndicates utilizing abandoned or hidden structures.
The decision to flatten the criminal den followed a comprehensive security assessment of the site conducted on Sunday by a joint task force led by the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Oluwagbemiga Abimbola.
Reports confirm that during the high-stakes tactical rescue operation executed on Saturday, a gun duel ensued which resulted in security operatives shooting dead two members of the notorious kidnapping ring.

Following the initial breakthrough, state tactical teams apprehended four additional suspects connected to the abduction scheme.
The suspects were formally paraded on Sunday at the State Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, where police leadership briefed the public on the operational layout of the syndicate.
