The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has called on residents across the council area to remain vigilant and security conscious in order to sustain peace and protect lives and property.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a public message to residents, the chairman emphasized that security remains a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of every member of the community.
According to him, residents should promptly report any suspicious movement, strange object, unusual gathering, or any activity capable of threatening the peace and harmony of their communities to the appropriate authorities or community leaders.
“The safety and security of our communities remain a collective responsibility. I therefore urge all residents of Eredo LCDA to remain vigilant and security conscious at all times.”
Hon. Akinloye noted that the appeal was not intended to create panic or fear among residents but rather to encourage greater awareness and cooperation in tackling security challenges before they escalate.
“This message is not intended to create panic or fear. Rather, it is a call for increased awareness and cooperation as we continue to work together to keep Eredo LCDA safe, peaceful, and secure for all.”
The council boss further urged residents to remain calm while supporting ongoing efforts by security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders, and local authorities to strengthen security across the area.

He stressed that timely information sharing and community cooperation remain critical tools in preventing crime and maintaining stability within the council area.
