Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has said he would engage all groups involved in national agitation, including Sunday Igboho, Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi, and pro-Biafra advocates, if elected president of Nigeria.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the Obi made this known during an interview on the Nevon HQ podcast hosted by Nigerian journalist Rufai Oseni, where he discussed his plans for national unity and conflict resolution.

He explained that his leadership approach would be rooted in dialogue and inclusion, stressing that he would not focus on blame or division but on finding solutions through conversation with all stakeholders.
The former Anambra State governor recalled that during his time in office, he engaged traditional rulers and various groups in discussions to address local issues, adding that he would adopt the same strategy at the national level.

Obi further insisted that individuals involved in agitation would be willing to listen to him once engaged, comparing the situation to encouraging a sick person to seek medical help.
He also reiterated that his presidential ambition is not driven by personal desire for power, but by a commitment to fixing Nigeria’s challenges and improving the lives of citizens, particularly young people.
