All Progressives Congress has generated more than N4.45 billion from the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the 2027 general elections, further strengthening the ruling party’s financial position as opposition parties continue to struggle with internal divisions.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the revenue came from the sale of forms to presidential aspirants, governorship hopefuls across 28 states, as well as aspirants seeking seats in the National and state assemblies.

According to party figures, the APC realised about N200 million from the purchase of presidential nomination forms by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Stanley Osifo. Governorship forms were sold for N50 million each, Senate forms for N20 million, and House of Representatives forms for N10 million.
The development comes amid growing tensions within the Progressive Governors Forum, where divisions over leadership deepened on Friday.
Governor Hope Uzodinma, who chairs the forum, secured a vote of confidence from 18 APC governors after reports emerged that some members were pushing for his removal.

There had been speculation that Governor Peter Mbah was being considered as a possible replacement, while another bloc within the forum was reportedly aligned with Governors Dapo Abiodun and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Following a closed-door meeting in Abuja, governors loyal to Uzodinma publicly reaffirmed their support for his leadership.
Governor Nasir Idris dismissed reports of crisis within the forum and moved the vote of confidence in Uzodinma and his deputy, Governor Uba Sani.
Uba Sani also insisted that the APC and its governors remained united and committed to supporting President Tinubu ahead of the next elections.
Governors from several states, including Lagos, Borno, Sokoto, Kano, Ondo, Ebonyi and Kogi, attended the meeting, while Jigawa and Nasarawa were represented by their deputies.

Meanwhile, the APC has commenced the screening of governorship, Senate and House of Representatives aspirants ahead of the party primaries scheduled for later this month.
The party fixed May 15 for House of Representatives primaries, May 18 for Senate primaries and May 21 for governorship primaries.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda is leading the committee screening incumbent governors seeking re-election, with Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru serving as secretary.
Another committee headed by Dr. Ben Nwoye was constituted to screen other governorship aspirants.
At the same time, civil society organisations have petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission and the APC over the eligibility of Prof. Princewill Igbagara to contest for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat in Bayelsa State.
The groups alleged that Igbagara simultaneously serves as a lecturer at Federal University Otuoke and Special Adviser on Science and Technology to the Bayelsa State Governor, raising concerns over conflict of interest and double remuneration from public funds.

They called for investigations into possible violations of public service regulations, constitutional provisions and electoral laws.
In a separate petition, APC chieftain Hon. Afuye Idowu asked the party’s National Working Committee to disqualify Senator Cyril Fasuyi from contesting again for the Ekiti North Senatorial District seat, accusing him of poor performance and ineffective representation in the Senate.
Idowu warned that party members would challenge Fasuyi during the primaries if the APC leadership failed to act on the petition.
