Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has praised the orderly and peaceful conduct of the ongoing local government elections in the state.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that he made the remarks on Saturday after voting at a polling unit in Government Science Secondary School, Gombe, where he expressed satisfaction with the turnout of voters and the smooth voting process.

Yahaya commended the efforts of security operatives, election officials, and other stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful exercise, while also urging residents to maintain calm throughout the election.

He called on political parties and their supporters to accept the results in good faith and use legal channels to address any grievances that may arise.
The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots democracy and supporting elected council officials to deliver development across the state.
The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) is conducting the elections across 11 local government areas and 13 development areas in the state.
