The All Progressives Congress House of Representatives primaries in Lagos State have produced a fresh political outlook ahead of the next legislative session, with 12 lawmakers successfully emerging as candidates to retain their seats in the National Assembly.
Eko Hot Blog reports that one of the major outcomes of the exercise was the victory of Wale Raji, who survived what many party stakeholders and observers described as the most contentious primary election in the political history of the Epe Federal Constituency.

The keenly contested primary generated widespread tension and intense grassroots mobilisation across Epe Division, as supporters from different camps battled for dominance within the party structure.

Despite the heated contest, Wale Raji emerged victorious, reaffirming his influence and political standing within the constituency.
Also returning for another legislative bid are prominent lawmakers including James Faleke, Babajimi Benson, and Dolapo Badru.
Speaking after the primary election, Wale Raji thanked party leaders, delegates, and supporters for their loyalty and confidence in his leadership.

The lawmaker promised to build on the projects, empowerment programmes, and developmental achievements already recorded during his previous terms in office.
According to him, more communities across Epe Federal Constituency will benefit from expanded infrastructure, youth-focused initiatives, grassroots empowerment, and additional dividends of democracy in the coming legislative session.
Wale Raji further pledged to harness the momentum, energy, and enthusiasm witnessed during the primary election to support the electoral success of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat in the general election.
Political analysts have meanwhile urged APC stakeholders in Epe to immediately begin reconciliation moves and large-scale mobilisation efforts to sustain the momentum generated by the primary.

According to analysts, this is the right time for a solidarity rally capable of uniting supporters, healing post-primary divisions, and transforming the enthusiasm displayed during the contest into a stronger electoral structure ahead of the polls.
They maintained that approaching the general election as a unified political body would significantly strengthen APC’s chances within the constituency.
