EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to Shettima, President Tinubu believes the ultimate responsibility for the actions and policies of his government rests with him.
The Vice President also disclosed that President Tinubu does not tolerate attempts to blame his predecessor, the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, for the country’s current challenges.
Shettima made the remarks on Wednesday while speaking at the Agric Development and Investment Summit in Abuja, where he described Tinubu as a courageous leader implementing bold reforms to reposition Nigeria’s economy.
He maintained that the administration’s economic reforms were already beginning to produce positive results and expressed confidence in Nigeria’s strategic role in Africa’s future development.
Shettima urged development partners, investors and other stakeholders to continue supporting the Federal Government’s efforts to drive economic growth and national development.
Speaking on Tinubu’s leadership style, the Vice President said the President believes in taking responsibility rather than shifting blame.
“He is not someone who is fond of the blame game. For the past three years, the easiest way you can earn the wrath of President Tinubu is to criticise Muhammadu Buhari. No, the buck stops at his desk and he is ready to take responsibility for whatever comes out of his actions,” Shettima said.
He reiterated that Tinubu remains committed to implementing far-reaching reforms aimed at strengthening the economy, despite the challenges associated with the policies.

The Vice President expressed optimism that the government’s ongoing initiatives would deliver long-term benefits for Nigerians and position the country for sustainable economic growth.
