EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to SPORT, via Yahoo Sports, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is only willing to sanction the sale of the winger if the club receives an offer in the region of £137 million, despite the player entering the final year of his contract.

The report stated that contract negotiations between Vinicius and the Spanish giants have stalled, increasing the possibility of the Brazilian leaving on a free transfer next summer. However, Madrid are reportedly unwilling to reduce their asking price.

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are prepared to make Vinicius the highest paid player in the club’s history if they proceed with a deal.

The 26 year old is reportedly seeking a weekly salary of around £470,000, almost double his current £246,000 per week earnings at Real Madrid.

If an agreement is reached, the deal would see Vinicius earn significantly more than Bukayo Saka, who reportedly earns over £300,000 per week, making the Brazilian Arsenal’s highest paid player.

Any transfer would also require Arsenal to shatter their current transfer record, with Real Madrid maintaining their £137 million valuation.

Vinicius has established himself as one of the world’s top attacking players since joining Real Madrid.

The Brazilian has scored 128 goals and provided 100 assists in 375 appearances for Los Blancos, playing a key role in the club’s domestic and European success.

He also impressed at this summer’s FIFA World Cup, scoring four goals in five matches.

Arsenal remain in the market for attacking reinforcements despite completing the signing of Christos Tzolis, with further additions expected before the transfer window closes.

However, any move for Vinicius would represent one of the biggest financial commitments in Arsenal’s history because of the substantial transfer fee and wage package involved.
