According to the minister, the country’s economic progress is no longer based on political promises but is reflected in independent assessments by institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Bloomberg and Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
He said the reports indicate that the administration’s reforms are strengthening confidence in the economy while producing tangible results.
Alausa noted that key macroeconomic indicators are showing signs of improvement, including easing inflation and expanding economic activities, adding that the government remains focused on ensuring that the gains of the reforms are sustainable.
“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity. There is no value in making difficult decisions if they cannot stand the test of time,” he said.

The minister added that the administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline, structural reforms and long-term economic stability is already yielding positive outcomes across different sectors of the economy.
He said the reforms are positioning Nigeria for inclusive economic growth, higher productivity and sustainable national development.
Reaffirming his confidence in President Tinubu’s administration, Alausa maintained that as Nigerians continue to experience the positive impact of the reforms, the President’s performance would remain his strongest campaign message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He also reiterated the administration’s commitment to implementing policies aimed at strengthening the economy, improving citizens’ welfare and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing optimism that the ongoing reforms would continue to deliver long-term prosperity for Nigerians.
