President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has put Nigeria on the path of economic progress, declaring that the party has several achievements to present to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Tinubu made the statement on Saturday as the APC constituted its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.

According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President charged members of the campaign council to work tirelessly to secure victory for the APC.
Tinubu said his administration had delivered on its campaign promises and was beginning to see the benefits of its economic policies.
“We have delivered on our campaign promises and set our country on a path of economic progress. We are definitely out of the dark tunnel and are now at the cusp of reaping the benefits of a prosperous economy that will benefit all Nigerians,” he said.
The President urged members of the campaign council to use the campaign season to highlight the administration’s achievements and give Nigerians hope for the future.
“As we march into the campaign season, we have many achievements to trumpet. Let us confidently showcase our record and inspire hope in every corner of our nation,” Tinubu said.
He also called on the campaign council to defeat what he described as forces seeking to take the country backwards.
“Let us soundly defeat all those forces who plan to take our country backwards,” he added.
The APC has appointed former Zamfara State Governor and Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, as the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was named Secretary of the council.
The constitution of the campaign council marks another step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with Tinubu seeking a second term in office.
