The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a fresh alert cautioning Nigerians to be vigilant against scammers parading fake online portals as the party’s official membership registration platform.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the party clarified that it has not opened any digital registration website or link for new members, warning that all circulating online platforms claiming to represent the ADC are fraudulent and should be ignored.

In a statement released on Sunday and shared on X by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC stressed that its authentic membership registration and verification system is still under development and will be unveiled only through verified party channels when ready.

The party emphasised that it does not solicit payments or sensitive personal information such as BVN, PVC details, phone numbers, or banking data through WhatsApp messages, direct messages, third-party websites, or unverified online links.
ADC urged members of the public to avoid clicking suspicious links, sharing unconfirmed registration messages, or submitting personal information to unknown platforms, advising that any questionable activity should be reported through official party communication outlets.
According to the statement, all legitimate announcements, including the eventual launch of the party’s official registration platform, will be communicated exclusively via recognised ADC platforms and formal directives from the party leadership.

The party added that it is taking steps to curb the spread of these scams and safeguard the integrity of its structures as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The warning follows a pattern of similar incidents, including a July 2025 episode in which the ADC disowned a fake list of state chairmen and cautioned Nigerians against unauthorised online registration schemes aimed at defrauding unsuspecting citizens.
