The African Democratic Congress in Ekiti State has recorded the resignation of its Secretary, Segun Akinwumi.
Akinwumi announced his decision in a letter addressed to the state chairman of the party, stating that his resignation was based on personal reasons.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in the letter, which surfaced on Sunday, the former secretary appreciated the opportunity to serve the party in that capacity and expressed gratitude to its leadership for the confidence and trust placed in him during his tenure.
He confirmed that his resignation takes immediate effect.
Akinwumi also thanked party leaders and members for their support throughout his time in office, noting that he remains grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the development of the ADC in Ekiti State.
He further indicated his willingness to serve again if called upon in the future.
Despite stepping down, Akinwumi urged members of the party to remain united and committed to its goals.

He called on supporters to work together to ensure the success of the ADC candidate in the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election.
