The African Democratic Congress has released its timetable for the conduct of its 2026 primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, who said the schedule reflects the party’s commitment to internal democracy, orderliness, and compliance with electoral laws.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the timetable, the collection of application forms commenced on April 1 and will end on May 4, 2026.
The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from May 5 to May 10, while submission of completed forms will take place between May 11 and May 13.
Screening of aspirants has been fixed for May 14 to May 15, with results to be released on May 17.
The party said appeals will be heard between May 18 and May 19, while the final list of cleared aspirants will be published on May 20.
Primary elections will begin on May 21 with contests for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats.
Governorship primaries are scheduled for May 22, while the presidential primary will hold on May 25.
The process will conclude with a National Executive Committee meeting on May 26, followed by a Special National Convention on May 27 for final ratification of candidates.
The party also announced the approved nomination fees for aspirants seeking various offices.

It said the presidential nomination form is priced at ₦100 million, governorship at ₦50 million, Senate at ₦20 million, House of Representatives at ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly at ₦3 million.
