Admissions Alert: JAMB Bars Awaiting Results for Direct Entry Applicants

- Upload Your Results Now: JAMB warns Direct Entry candidates with awaiting IJMB or JUPEB results to upload them immediately at an approved CBT center or face disqualification.
- No Admission for Awaiting Results: Just like UTME candidates, Direct Entry applicants without uploaded results will not be considered for admission in 2024.
- Plan Ahead for 2025: JAMB advises future DE applicants to upload their results promptly upon release to improve their chances of admission.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed all students who applied for admission through the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) process to upload their IJMB or JUPEB results immediately after they are released.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, made this announcement in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja. He emphasized that candidates who registered for Direct Entry with “awaiting results” must visit an approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) center to upload their results without delay.
According to Benjamin, failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification from the 2024 admission process. He explained that during the registration period, some students applied using awaiting results, but JAMB will not consider such applications unless the required results are uploaded.
“No candidate will be considered for admission with awaiting results, just as it applies to UTME candidates. Any Direct Entry application that still carries an awaiting result status will be disqualified,” he warned.
He also stated that candidates without uploaded results would be treated as having none, meaning their admission chances would be lost.
To avoid missing out, JAMB advised all candidates to ensure their results are uploaded as soon as possible. Benjamin also encouraged students planning to apply for Direct Entry in 2025 to be proactive and upload their results immediately after they are available. This will improve their chances of gaining admission into their chosen universities.
