The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, on Monday swore in newly appointed Supervisors, Special Advisers and the Secretary to the Local Government as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate grassroots development in the council area.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the swearing-in ceremony, held at the council secretariat, attracted dignitaries including apex leaders, political icons, party leaders, women leaders and other key stakeholders from across the council area.
The oath of office was administered by the Head of Legal Department of the council, Adetola Tom Jones, in the presence of the council chairman and the leader of the legislative arm of the council.
In his keynote address, Akinloye described the ceremony as a significant milestone in the administration’s efforts to deepen transparency, accountability and development at the grassroots.
“Today marks another chapter in the history of Eredo LCDA. We are not merely fulfilling a constitutional obligation, we are igniting a renewed promise of progress, transparency and grassroots development.”
The chairman congratulated the newly appointed officials, noting that their appointments were based on merit, competence and dedication to the development of the council area.
“Your selection was not based on chance but on recognition of your character, competence and commitment to the Eredo project.
The expectations of our people now rest on your shoulders.”
Akinloye urged the appointees to see their positions as an opportunity to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to the development of the council.
“You have been called to serve and not to be served. Our administration’s success will depend on your ability to translate policies into visible benefits for every resident of Eredo.”
He further emphasized the importance of accountability and innovative governance.
“Accountability must remain our guiding principle. Every naira allocated must be reflected in visible projects and meaningful development across the council.”
The chairman added that his administration would continue to prioritize key sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, security and rural electrification.
“Our agenda is clear. We will focus on education, healthcare, agriculture, security and rural electrification as we work to make Eredo a sanctuary for peaceful living.”
He also called on residents of the council to continue supporting the administration in its drive to deliver the dividends of democracy.
“Governance is a partnership. We need the support, prayers and cooperation of our people to ensure that development reaches every doorstep in Eredo.”
Among those sworn in was Oladega Sikiru Aderemi as Secretary to the Local Government, while Adesanya Lateef Oluwagbemiga was sworn in as Supervisor for Education.
Other appointees include Odeyemi Wariz Tope as Supervisor for Special Duties, Oladojunoye Stella Odudolapo as Supervisor for Health Matters, and Akingbade Rukayat Omolara as Special Adviser on Health.
Also sworn in were Ilesanmi Azeez Abayomi as Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Adeyemi Julius Adeleke as Supervisor for Budget and Finance, Olukoya Adeniyi Rahman as Supervisor for Information, Communication and MDG, and Opetuga Bayo Olamilekan as Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure.
Others include Jagunna Balikis Adebimpe as Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Amasa-Ogunsanya Funmilayo as Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Ibrahim Oluseyi Kazeem as Supervisor for Environment, and Tunwashe Monsuru Oluwasanmi as Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs.
Further appointments include Onabajo Adetola Sodiq as Special Adviser on Tourism, Adelaja Olufemi Adekunle as Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services, Adesina Adeleke Joshua as Special Adviser on Art and Culture, and Ogunyinka Aminat Abiodun as Supervisor for Political Affairs.
Also sworn in were Amisu Afisu Jimoh as Supervisor for Legislative Matters, Adekoya Michael as Supervisor for Revenue Generation and Market Affairs, and Daramola Akorede Kazeem as Special Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs.
Others include Ismail Olabo Bayonle as Special Adviser on Stomach Infrastructure and Happiness, Alaketu Kazeem Olawale as Supervisor for Chieftaincy Matters, and Alaya Selim Adeniyi who will serve as Chief Security Officer.
Speaking after the ceremony, the Secretary to the Local Government, Oladega Aderemi, reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the chairman to advance the council’s development agenda.
“We will continue to work together with the chairman to ensure that the development vision of this administration aligns with the national development agenda.”
Also speaking, Odeyemi Wariz Tope pledged to contribute meaningfully to the administration’s achievements.
“We will continue to support and promote the good work of the chairman while ensuring that residents of Eredo benefit from good governance.”
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the continued progress and development of the council area.
