The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV), has installed Ambassador Oluwatoyin Lawal as the Bobaguwa of Ilara Kingdom, while his wife, Mrs. Abiodun Lawal, received the honorary title of Yeye Bobaguwa of Ilara.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the colourful chieftaincy conferment took place on Saturday at the Alara’s palace in Eredo-Epe, as part of ongoing efforts to honour distinguished Nigerians contributing to community development.

Speaking after the conferment, Amb. Lawal expressed gratitude to the monarch and people of Ilara for the recognition.
“This honour is a call to service, and we are committed to working with Kabiyesi to advance the growth of Ilara Kingdom,” he said.
Mrs. Abiodun Lawal, the new Yeye Bobaguwa, also pledged her support, saying, “We will play our part in uplifting the development of this community, particularly in areas that touch the lives of women and children.”
The couple promised to focus their efforts on education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, aligning their plans with the Alara’s vision of transforming Ilara into a hub of progress in Lagos State.

In his remarks, Oba Ogunsanwo commended the couple, noting that their installation reflected their reputation as respected personalities who had consistently demonstrated integrity, service, and leadership.
