He noted that the initiative has effectively lowered financial hurdles, allowing more students to focus on their academic pursuits without the immediate burden of tuition fees.
The event, which drew several Student Union Government (SUG) presidents and regional youth leaders, served as a platform to highlight the administration’s broader educational reforms.
The students credited the “Renewed Hope” agenda for creating youth-oriented policies that prioritize educational accessibility.

They also extended their gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his role in uplifting education within the state and creating an environment where progressive policies can flourish.
Beyond the formal endorsement, the gathering acknowledged the influence of regional stakeholders, including the South-East Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), for his ongoing commitment to youth empowerment.
Leaders of the group remarked that the successful coordination of the NELFUND beneficiaries was a testament to the strengthening of student organizations in the Southeast.
