The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari (Ogundalu I), and all sons and daughters of Owu-Ikosi Kingdom on the joyous celebration of Owu-Ikosi Day.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a goodwill message, the Chairman described the annual event as a vibrant reflection of the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, unity, and resilience.
He noted that the occasion serves as a reminder of the community’s deep ancestral legacy and collective commitment to growth and harmony.
“As we celebrate this great heritage, may the peace, prosperity and harmony that Owu-Ikosi is known for continue to abound,” he said.
“May the Kingdom experience greater advancement under the distinguished reign of Kabiyesi, and may our traditions remain a source of pride for generations to come.”
Otunba-Akogun Anomo praised Oba Ogunlari for his visionary and inclusive leadership, commending his efforts in strengthening community values, peace and development within the kingdom.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting cultural institutions and fostering sustainable progress across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
He also urged indigenes of Owu-Ikosi, both home and abroad, to continue contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of their ancestral community, stressing that unity and collective effort remain key to achieving lasting progress.
“Culture is the heartbeat of a thriving society, and Owu-Ikosi continues to set a shining example where tradition and development walk hand in hand,” he added.
The Chairman prayed for a memorable celebration filled with love, joy, blessings and renewed commitment to community advancement.
