EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the forum’s chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, warned against any attempt to incite unrest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following protests demanding Akpabio’s resignation over the allegations.
The warning follows the “Akpabio Must Go” demonstrations at the National Assembly and various locations in the FCT, where Natasha’s supporters called for the Senate President to step down pending an investigation.
The APC Forum gave the protesters a 24-hour deadline to vacate the streets, accusing them of being sponsored to cause disorder.
“We are putting the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies on high alert over the plot to incite chaos in the FCT,” the statement read.
“As stakeholders in the North-Central, which includes the FCT, we cannot stand by and watch hoodlums and anarchists disrupt the peace that has been maintained since President Bola Tinubu took office. If they fail to leave in 24 hours, we will mobilize our people to counter them.”
The Forum insisted that the allegations against Akpabio were fabricated to discredit the APC government.
Citing records, the group pointed out that Natasha was not the only senator who had their seat reallocated and questioned why she had not raised the allegations earlier.
“Would Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan have remained silent on the purported harassment if she had not been referred to the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges for breaching Senate rules?” the statement questioned.

The Forum praised Akpabio’s leadership, stating that his tenure had fostered a smooth relationship between the executive and legislature, enabling President Tinubu’s government to implement critical reforms.
“What is happening is a calculated attempt by the opposition to derail the National Assembly and, by extension, the Tinubu administration,” the statement continued.
Calling on party members and Nigerians to resist the alleged plot, the Forum urged the Senate not to be distracted by what it described as Natasha’s political maneuvers.
