The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the upload of its approved candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal ahead of the 2027 general election.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the exercise follows the approval of the party’s final list of candidates by its National Working Committee (NWC) after reviewing reports submitted by the Primary Appeal Committees.
Some candidates confirmed to The Nation that they received Form EC9 from INEC on Monday night, marking the commencement of the nomination process.
Among the approved senatorial candidates are Senator Sunday Karimi (Kogi West), Prince Paul Ikonne (Abia South), Senator Emmanuel Udende (Benue North East), Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire (Ondo Central), Senator Titus Tartenger (Benue North West) and Senator Olajide Ipinsagba (Ondo North).
The approved House of Representatives candidates include Donald Ojogo (Ilaje/Ese Odo), Festus Adefiranye (Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo/Odigbo), John Odimayo (Okitipupa/Irele), Abdulazeez Kaka (Kaduna North), Chief Samuel Okezie (Ukwa East/Ukwa West), Ekumankama Nkama (Afikpo North/Edda), Abubakar Abdullahi (Suleja/Tafa/Mokwa), Festus Olarewaju (Idanre/Ifedore), Dr. Rafiu Ajakaye (Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun), Mohammed Mamman (Edu/Patigi/Moro) and Raheem Olawuyi (Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke Ero).
Ojogo and Adefiranye, who secured the party’s ticket for re election, expressed appreciation to the APC leadership for giving them another opportunity to seek another term in the House of Representatives.
In a June 29 letter titled, “Forwarding of Approved List of Senatorial and House of Representatives Candidates,”signed by APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, the party said the final list was compiled after considering the recommendations of its Primary Appeal Committees.
The letter stated, “Following the determination of appeals from the recently concluded primaries, the reports of the Appeal Committees were reviewed and subsequently considered and approved by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress as the party’s f inal position on the affected constituencies.

“In accordance with the Electoral Act and INEC’s Regulations and Guidelines, we hereby transmit the enclosed list of the approved candidates for the seven senatorial districts and 19 House of Representatives constituencies for your records and necessary action.”
