The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) commends President Bola Tinubu for directing NNPC to sell crude oil to local refiners in naira, urging affordable petroleum prices in return.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has praised President Bola Tinubu for directing the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to sell crude oil to Dangote Petroleum Refinery and other local refiners in naira.
ACF Chairman, Faruk Umar, stated that Tinubu’s directive would encourage local investments and the development of Nigeria’s latent economic potential.

In a statement, Umar commended Aliko Dangote for his confidence in the Nigerian economy, demonstrated by his $20 billion investment in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. He highlighted Tinubu’s responsiveness to public opinion, suggesting it bodes well for his governance.
Umar also urged Dangote to reciprocate Tinubu’s gesture by making petroleum products more affordable. “What the President has done will encourage the likes of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and other foreign investors to invest in the country,” he added.
“We also commend Alhaji Aliko Dangote for believing in the Nigerian economy to invest $20 billion single handedly , being the largest investment by an individual in any part of Africa .
