Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, who was born in Canada in 2009 and is of Nigerian heritage, began painting at the age of four. He has since gained international recognition for his large-scale artworks and his efforts to use art as a tool for autism awareness.
In 2025, the teenager set a Guinness World Record for creating the largest painting on canvas by an individual. The artwork, titled Impossibility Is a Myth, measured 12,303.87 square metres—more than twice the size of a standard football pitch.
The painting was unveiled on April 2, 2025, at Eagle Square, Abuja, to mark World Autism Acceptance Day. The project was aimed at raising awareness about autism and supporting the Zeebah Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of children living with autism in Nigeria.
Kanyeyachukwu’s achievement has drawn widespread admiration, adding to Nigeria’s growing list of Guinness World Record holders. At just 15, his accomplishment stands out as a testament to the power of inclusion, creativity and perseverance.
