The Honourable Minister for Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has been formally inducted as a member of the Epe Club, the Premier Club of Epe Division, during a grand ceremony held at the Regency Hall, Otunba Jobi-Fele Way, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the installation, which took place on Thursday, saw Dr Alausa presented with a certificate of membership and the club’s identity cap, marking his formal entry into the elite association. The induction was conducted by Professor Onibon, former Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Education.

Responding to his induction, Dr Alausa expressed gratitude to the club’s leadership and members, describing the honour as “deeply meaningful.” He pledged to uphold the ideals of the club, emphasising his commitment to promoting leadership, unity, excellence, and community development within Epe Division and Lagos State.

“I am deeply honoured to be officially installed as a member of Epe Club, a body that represents leadership, unity, and service to humanity,” Dr Alausa said.
He commended the club for consistently celebrating leaders who have made lasting impacts while still alive and highlighted the importance of service, mentorship, and continuity as core principles of leadership.
Dr Alausa also reflected on the broader progress Nigeria has made, noting advancements in sectors such as education, infrastructure, security, and social services.

He praised ongoing initiatives to equip young Nigerians with technical and vocational skills, noting that over 50,000 youths are already benefiting from government training programs as part of a wider plan to reach one million beneficiaries in the next two years.
The Minister reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging these policies to create opportunities for youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
The ceremony further highlighted Epe Club’s role in fostering leadership, community service, and recognition of outstanding contributions to society.
