Appeal Court Upholds Death Sentence for Ramon Adedoyin in OAU Student’s Killing

- The Court of Appeal in Akure upholds the death sentence for Dr. Ramon Adedoyin in the murder of Timothy Adegoke.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in its ruling on Thursday, the appellate court confirmed that the judgment of the Osun State High Court, which had sentenced Adedoyin to death, remains valid.
The Court of Appeal also dismissed Adedoyin’s appeal, stating that the original conviction and sentence were appropriate.
The court further quashed and set aside the order for the forfeiture of Hilton Hotel, as well as the directive for Adedoyin and others to provide an education scholarship to Adegoke’s children.

Adegoke’s body was discovered in November 2021 at Hilton Honours Hotel, where he had been staying prior to his death.
