According to the Presidency, the Vice President is expected to deliver President Tinubu’s message of solidarity and receive a detailed briefing to aid national-level decision making.

President Tinubu had earlier condemned the attack, describing it as a heartbreaking assault on innocent children, while urging security agencies to ensure the girls are rescued without delay.
The bandits’ invasion, which occurred on Sunday, led to the killing of the school’s Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Makuku, who reportedly died while trying to prevent the gunmen from taking the students.

Police authorities say a combined tactical squad has been deployed to comb the surrounding forests and track the abductors as rescue operations intensify.
Amid the crisis, President Tinubu has postponed his scheduled trips to the G20 Summit in Johannesburg and the AU-EU Summit in Luanda to focus on the escalating security emergency.
