BREAKING: FG Flags Off Construction Of N21bn VIP Clinic
- FG has flagged off the construction of N21bn VIP Clinic in Abuja.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that the construction of the State House Clinic Presidential Wing has on Monday been flagged off by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The inauguration of the State House Clinic, this online news platform understands, is coming after the approval of N21bn by President Buhari for the construction and equipping of the facility.
It would be recalled that the Permanent Secretary, State House, Umar Tijjani, had disclosed that the President had approved the construction of the 14-bed space Presidential Clinic at a cost of N21bn.
The Permanent Secretary had further revealed that the construction firm, Messrs Julius Berger Nigeria, would construct the VIP Clinic.

Tijjani added that the physical construction of the Clinic would start on November 1, 2021, noting that it would be inaugurated on December 31, 2022.
He disclosed that the Presidential Clinic would contain 14-bed facilities with a total area of 2,700 square metres.
The Permanent Secretary revealed that the Clinic would have an underground, first floor, two operating theatres, two executive suites, two VIP wards, two Isolation wards, a six-bed isolation area, a laboratory, healing garden, pharmacy, and X-ray facility.
Meanwhile, the foundation laying ceremony held on Monday, November 1, 2021, was attended by Ganbari, Tijjani, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina; a delegation from the Julius Berger Nigeria, State House medical practitioners, amongst others.
