President Bola Tinubu’s Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, on Wednesday alleged that a “nomadic politician” from the Labour Party (LP) is planning to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Eko Hot Blog reports that Bwala made the claim while criticising the ADC, which he described as a “structure of criminality.”

His comments come amid growing speculation that the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, may formally join the ADC ahead of the 2027 general election to contest the party’s presidential ticket.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Bwala accused the unnamed politician of frequently switching political parties and questioned the credibility of such a move.

“Nomadic politicians joining a structure of criminality,” Bwala wrote.
He further listed a series of party affiliations; PDP, APGA, PDP, Labour Party, and now ADC—arguing that the politician’s trajectory reflects political instability.
Bwala also suggested that the politician’s future role would likely be limited, claiming such movements often end in becoming “a second fiddle or campaign director-general.”
The remarks have since sparked reactions across political circles, especially among supporters of the Labour Party and the ADC, as discussions around potential realignments ahead of 2027 continue.
