Manchester City secured a 2 to 1 victory over Arsenal in a Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, boosting their title push.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the home side took the lead in the 16th minute through Rayan Cherki, who produced a fine individual effort. He dribbled past multiple defenders before finishing calmly to give City an early advantage.
Arsenal responded almost immediately after a costly error from City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian misjudged a clearance, allowing Kai Havertz to block the ball and guide it into the net for the equaliser.
Both teams pressed for a winner after the break in a closely contested second half. Arsenal came close to taking the lead when Eberechi Eze struck the post during a sustained attacking spell.
City regained the lead in the 65th minute through Erling Haaland. The striker used his strength to break free from his marker before finishing decisively to restore the home side’s advantage.
Arsenal pushed forward in the closing stages but were unable to find another goal, as City’s defence held firm to secure all three points.

The result tightened the gap at the top of the table, with Manchester City strengthening their position in the title race. Arsenal, who came into the match as league leaders, were left to reflect on missed chances that could prove costly in the closing stages of the season.
