The tour began on a solemn note with a condolence visit to the family of the late Suwaliu Apena Omonile, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) apex leader, at his residence in Akodo Town.
During the visit, the chairman sympathised with the widow and family members, offering prayers for strength and comfort in their time of grief.
“He was a dedicated party leader whose immense contributions to the All Progressives Congress and the development of our community will be greatly missed,” he said.
Following the condolence visit, the delegation proceeded to Orimedu, where preparations are underway for the groundbreaking of a proposed new market scheduled for Monday. The chairman assessed the level of readiness and expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far.
The inspection tour also covered several key infrastructure projects, including the perimeter fencing at Bogije Primary School, the 800-metre Lakowe–Losoro standard paved road, Orimedu High School, and the Gbetu axis, where drainage construction is set to commence.
Officials noted that the projects are part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure, improve learning environments, and boost economic activities within the local government.
The exercise, according to stakeholders, highlights the administration’s commitment to effective project monitoring, timely delivery, and ensuring that development initiatives meet the needs of residents.
