Job Title: Continental Chef
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Continental Chef to prepare exquisite European, Asian, and American dishes. The ideal candidate will contribute to menu development, maintain the highest food quality standards, and enhance our culinary reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of international cuisines (appetizers, entrées, and desserts).
- Develop and introduce new menu items and creative recipes.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure proper use of kitchen equipment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Participate in culinary events and hotel promotions.
Requirements
- Culinary degree or diploma.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Continental Chef or Chef de Partie.
- Excellent cooking skills and expertise in international cuisines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Knowledge of French, Italian, or Asian cuisines.
- Certification in culinary arts or hospitality management.
- Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.
