In his address, Elliot characterized his re-election bid as a “continued commitment to serve” and an effort to consolidate the progress made during his previous tenures.
He emphasized that returning to the House would grant him the status of a “ranking member,” a position he claims carries significant legislative weight and would result in “loads of benefits” for the people of Surulere.

The announcement follows recent public efforts by the lawmaker to reaffirm his political allegiances.
Elliot recently dismissed rumors of a rift with his political mentor, Femi Gbajabiamila, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to the President.
During a constituency visit, he expressed his loyalty to Gbajabiamila, referring to him as a “compassionate leader” and appealing to the electorate for another chance to deliver the “dividends of democracy”.
As political activities intensify, Elliot has urged his supporters to remain steadfast and focused, calling for a campaign period defined by peace, unity, and mutual respect.
His move to secure the nomination form is a definitive step in his journey to maintain his seat in the Lagos Assembly, where he has served since 2015.
