A video recently went viral showing the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, pointing an object that appears to resemble a gun at a young TikTok content creator on a Lagos State road.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday in an upscale area of Lagos, where Adefarasin was seen driving a black Range Rover Sport.
EDITOR’S PICKS
The young man, known for creating TikTok videos that showcase luxury cars in Lagos, ran after the vehicle and began filming.
Dissatisfied with the attention, the 62-year-old cleric, Adefarasin, stopped his car and pointed a supposed firearm at the unsuspecting TikToker.
As the vehicle came to a halt, the content creator could be heard saying, “Boss,” but the sight of what looked like a gun apparently stunned him, prompting a nervous apology: “I’m sorry, sir.”

The video has sparked outrage on social media, with the clergyman accused of violent intimidation.
This is not the first time Adefarasin has attracted public concern over alleged inappropriate behaviour.
In December 2023, the religious leader was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with a commercial bus driver along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
He allegedly double-crossed the vehicle in traffic, exited his car, and shattered the bus’s windows with his bare hands after a heated exchange. Some of the broken glass reportedly injured passengers inside.
However, there was no visual evidence directly linking the cleric to the violent incident.
So, did Adefarasin point a gun at the young TikToker?
The grainy quality of the video makes it difficult to determine whether Adefarasin was holding a firearm or another object.
However, closer examination of the item in question reveals a barrel design similar to that of a rechargeable stun gun available for purchase online.
Checks by Eko Hot Blog show that self-defence stun guns with identical designs to small pistols are available on the Internet.

The product description of a stun gun resembling the one Adefarasin held in the video states that it has “powerful contact probes designed to deliver an incapacitating electric shock.”
“Turn ON/OFF switch, slide the safety switch to the top, and press the stun activation button while touching the attacker with the probes,” the description reads in part.
While the object Adefarasin brandished might have been a version of this stun gun, his conduct and past record of alleged public intimidation may continue to raise eyebrows.
Adefarasin Responds
Meanwhile, Adefarasin has responded to the criticism and reactions to his conduct in the video.
In a statement addressing the incident, the cleric denied pointing a gun at the content creator.

The convener of The Experience concert, describing the accusations of brandishing a firearm as “mischief”, told his followers he would address the matter during the 9:00 a.m. service on Sunday.
“Dear Family, trusting that this meets you well, winning and on top of the tests of life. You might be aware of a video which has been circulating on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm,” he said.
“I want to assure you of this — that, that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.
“We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused, and we will speak briefly to this mischief during the 9:00 a.m. service tomorrow.
