The Education Secretary of Epe Local Government, Hon. Idowu Shittu, popularly known as Saico, has praised the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, for blazing the trail by being the first local government chairman to organize a summer coaching programme for pupils in public primary schools across Epe.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a commendation statement, Hon. Shittu described the initiative as a proactive step towards youth development and a meaningful way to keep children productively engaged during the holiday period.

“Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun is blazing the trail. She is the first chairman to organise such summer lessons for our primary schools in Epe Local Government,” he said. “Our children are our today and our tomorrow. Let us engage them properly during this holiday. The devil is the workshop for an idle hand. Thank you, Iya Epe.”
The summer lesson programme, now underway across various schools in Epe, is aimed at reinforcing pupils’ academic foundation and reducing learning gaps ahead of the next school term.
The initiative has been widely commended by parents and teachers alike, who note that it not only bridges academic gaps but also provides a safe and constructive environment for children throughout the holiday.
The program is expected to run for several weeks and will cover key subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Basic Science.
