The Ekiti State Executive Council has demonstrated a significant show of solidarity by donating ₦100 million to the re-election campaign of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the donation was presented on Wednesday during a meeting at the State Executive Council Chamber in Ado-Ekiti.

Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, and Chief Jide Awe, Special Adviser on Political Matters, presented the funds, stating the council’s commitment to making Oyebanji the first governor in the state’s history to be elected back-to-back.
Governor Oyebanji expressed his profound gratitude, remarking that he had not witnessed an executive council make such a substantial financial contribution to a governor’s re-election in all his years in politics.
The Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Campaign Council, Mr. Niyi Adebayo, confirmed that the funds have been officially received.
Council members emphasized that the gesture was a token of their support for the “impactful administration” and their desire to see its policies sustained for another four years.

In a separate but related development aimed at state progress, Governor Oyebanji disbursed ₦29 million to various registered youth, student, and community-based organizations.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Gold Adesola, the Governor emphasized that investing in the productive population is the cornerstone of long-term prosperity.
He urged the benefiting organizations to maintain transparency and accountability, ensuring the funds are used to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility across Ekiti’s 16 local government areas.
