The family of Larry Johnson, a lawyer and member of the Eko Club of Houston in Houston, Texas, has announced his funeral plans.
The plans were contained in a poster shared with EKO HOT BLOG on Friday.

Johnson passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the age of 65.
His family confirmed his demise in a statement, describing him as a cherished father, uncle, brother, and husband.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the deceased, who was also a member of Eko Club International, was a respected legal professional and devoted civic leader in his community in Houston.
According to the funeral plans, a Service of Songs will be held for Johnson on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 7pm to 9pm, at Dominion Chapel, 1203, Cravens Road, Stafford, TX 77477.
The next day, on Friday, August 22, 2025, the Funeral and Memorial Service will hold from 11am to 1pm at The Fountain of Praise, 13950 Hillcroft Ave, Houston, TX 77085. Internment will immediately follow the memorial service at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fw, Houston, TX 77079.

The same day, there will be a Celebration of Life event from 7 to 2am, on Saturdat, August 23, 2025, at Enoch’s Event Center, 13350 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77083.

Friends from these associations remembered him as a tireless contributor who rarely missed a meeting or event, and who mentored younger members with warmth and wisdom.
“Larry was more than just a lawyer, he was a community pillar,” one longtime friend and fellow Eko Club member said. “He gave his time, his voice, and his heart to everything he believed in. His passing is a huge loss not only to his family but to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.”
