The Odo-Noforija Kingdom was filled with celebration today as the Honourable Councillor representing Ward L1, Hon. Abosede Mary Olusanya, joined indigenes and dignitaries to mark the birthday anniversary of the revered monarch, Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja (JP), the Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Abosede, who represented the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, led the council’s delegation to the royal palace where prayers, goodwill messages, and cultural tributes were rendered in honour of the King.
In a symbolic moment, the birthday cake was received on behalf of His Royal Majesty by High Chief Musiliu Adewale Badejo (Odofin) and High Chief Taibu Olalekan Odumosu (Agbon) of Odo-Noforija Kingdom.

Hon. Abosede praised the monarch for his enduring wisdom and fatherly guidance, describing him as a pillar of unity and progress in the community.
She said: “We thank God for the life of our Kabiyesi, Oba Ogunlaja, whose reign has brought peace, development, and prosperity to Odo-Noforija Kingdom.
On behalf of our Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinloye, I pray that God grants Kabiyesi long life, good health, and greater wisdom to continue to lead us.”
The councillor also expressed deep gratitude to the Aladeshoyin for his consistent support of the Akinloye-led administration.
“Kabiyesi has always stood as a father to us in governance. His encouragement and counsel remain invaluable to the growth and development of Eredo LCDA,” she added.
The colourful celebration reflected the unity between traditional leadership and political stewardship, highlighting the collaborative efforts in building a prosperous Eredo LCDA.
