Epe Local Government is set to host a landmark event on Monday, 17th November 2025, as the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, marks her first 100 days in office with a youth-focused interactive session and financial support initiative for 100 girls.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the programme, themed A Day with the Executive Chairman, will take place at the Epe Local Government Secretariat and is designed to strengthen youth engagement, promote inclusion and inspire community development.

Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Animashaun described the gathering as a platform for shared growth and mutual understanding.
She said the session was created to deepen participation among young people and allow them to express their aspirations.
According to her, “The youths of Epe are the heartbeat of our development agenda. This session is an opportunity to listen, learn and build together.”
A key highlight of the celebration will be the financial support for 100 girls across the community.

Hon. Animashaun emphasized the importance of empowering young females, saying “Girls deserve every opportunity to rise, learn and thrive.
We are investing in their future because their success strengthens the entire community.”
The Chairman is also expected to reflect on her achievements within her first 100 days, a period described by community members as energetic, people-centered and reform-driven.
Youth leaders who spoke about the event noted that it reflects her open-door governance style. One participant said, “This is the kind of leadership young people want—accessible, visionary and ready to engage.”
Residents, youth groups and stakeholders across Epe have expressed high anticipation for the event, which is expected to foster stronger connections, inspire new initiatives and encourage collective responsibility for the local government’s growth.
