The Epe Local Government has announced the commencement of its annual Free Summer Coaching Programme for primary school pupils as part of efforts to promote quality education and support academic excellence among young learners during the long vacation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative, championed by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, is designed to keep pupils academically engaged and adequately prepare them for the next academic session.
The programme is open to Primary 2 to Primary 6 pupils and will run from Monday, August 3 to Thursday, August 27, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., every Monday through Thursday.
The designated coaching centres are St. Michael Anglican Primary School I, Luyepo Primary School, Community Primary School, Erepoto, and St. Theresa’s RCM Primary School, Oke Oyinbo.
The council encouraged parents and guardians to take advantage of the free educational initiative by enrolling their children at the nearest designated centre, noting that the programme is aimed at improving learning outcomes and helping pupils remain academically productive throughout the holiday period.
The initiative reflects the administration’s continued investment in the education sector and its commitment to providing equal learning opportunities for children across Epe Local Government.
According to the council, the annual summer coaching programme remains one of its strategic interventions aimed at nurturing young minds, promoting academic excellence and laying a solid educational foundation for the future generation.
