The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has commended officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Eredo Command, and members of the Eredo Security Forum (ESF) for their dedication to enforcing traffic regulations and significantly reducing incidents of one-way driving across the council area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Akinloye praised the commitment, professionalism, and vigilance of the traffic management and security personnel, noting that their collaborative efforts have contributed immensely to improved compliance with traffic laws and enhanced road safety within Eredo LCDA.
While expressing satisfaction with the progress recorded, the Chairman urged the officers to remain steadfast in their enforcement duties, pointing out that a few motorists still attempt to violate traffic regulations and evade arrest.
He emphasized that consistent enforcement is essential to eliminating one-way driving and other traffic offences capable of endangering lives and disrupting public order.
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, assuring residents that the council would continue to support initiatives and partnerships aimed at promoting road safety, law enforcement, and orderly traffic management across the LCDA.
Hon. Akinloye also appealed to motorists and other road users to cooperate with traffic officials by obeying all traffic regulations, stressing that road safety is a shared responsibility.
He urged residents to support the ongoing enforcement drive, adding that compliance with traffic laws remains the surest way to prevent accidents and ensure the free flow of traffic.
