APC Publicity Secretary Mogaji Oluseye Oladejo, in a statement made available to the press, revealed that the campaign launch will feature the formal presentation of candidates and the symbolic handover of party flags.
To ensure a comprehensive and decentralized approach, the campaign will be spread across three senatorial districts: Lagos East, Lagos Central, and Lagos West, with Lagos West further subdivided due to its size.
The much-anticipated flag-off ceremony will mark the start of APC’s efforts to mobilize support and strengthen its presence at the grassroots level ahead of the local government elections.
“The flag-off ceremony will be witnessed by party chieftains, elected and appointed officials of the party across the three tiers of government.
The APC also announced the formation of Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) in every local government to drive grassroots mobilization and ensure broad outreach across the state.
Following the conclusion of its primaries, the party has selected Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship, and Councilorship candidates across all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs), 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), and 377 wards.
The APC stated that its campaign will focus on showcasing the achievements of outgoing local administrations, promoting impactful social initiatives, and reinforcing its commitment to sustained development aligned with its progressive agenda.
“We wish to seize this opportunity to urge all voters to endeavor to perform their civic responsibility on the day of the elections to further grow our nascent democracy.
“The campaign will end a day before the elections in accordance with the extant laws.”
