Ethan Nwaneri Breaks Saka’s EPL Record

Ethan Nwaneri sets a new Premier League record for the youngest player to complete 5+ dribbles and assist in a single match.
Nwaneri’s record-breaking performance came in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Leicester City.
The 17-year-old has become a key figure for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta this season.
Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri has set a new Premier League record, surpassing teammate Bukayo Saka, during the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Leicester City.
At just 17 years and 331 days old, Nwaneri broke the record for the youngest player to complete five or more dribbles and assist a goal in a single Premier League match, as confirmed by OptaJoe. This feat had previously been held by Saka, who was 18 years and 164 days old when he achieved it against Newcastle in 2020.
Nwaneri has emerged as a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad this season, making 24 appearances so far. He also made history last month by becoming the second-youngest Englishman to score in the Champions League with a winner against Girona and the second-youngest Arsenal player to score in the Premier League, following in the footsteps of Cesc Fàbregas.
As Arsenal chase the Premier League title, currently trailing leaders Liverpool by seven points, Nwaneri is expected to play a significant role in their pursuit of silverware this season.
