- With God, nothing is impossible
- gospel music is a spiritual calling
- others not to judge what they do not understand
Nigerian gospel artist Tim Godfrey has stirred controversy among fans and the Christian community with his new single “Infinity,” which features Afrobeats sensation Oxlade.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that sharing the announcement on Instagram, Godfrey wrote, “With God, nothing is impossible. My God is capable. Call am, He’s reachable.”

He encouraged fans to stream the track, adding, “INFINITY X @oxladeofficial OUT NOW! RUN IT UP.” The post included a clip from the song’s music video directed by Ella Raaye.

While many listeners have praised the creativity and musical depth of the collaboration, others expressed disappointment over Oxlade’s inclusion due to his involvement in a 2022 scandal.
Instagram user Calebtheplugg faulted the decision, saying other gospel singers like Moses Bliss could have delivered the same energy without controversy. He argued that gospel music is a spiritual calling and claimed Oxlade’s participation takes away from the divine essence of the song.

Another user, _brownsteph, questioned Godfrey’s intentions, suggesting he was using gospel music as a business tool rather than a ministry. However, thegospelmentality urged caution, reminding others not to judge what they do not understand, saying only God knows whether the collaboration was divinely inspired.
Despite mixed reactions, “Infinity” continues to trend across social media, with many acknowledging it as one of the boldest gospel-Afrobeats experiments in recent times.
