FCMB and NNEW Empower 215 Women Entrepreneurs

The FCMB SheVentures Mentoring Programme, in partnership with NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women, recently celebrated the virtual graduation of 215 women entrepreneurs.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that this achievement marks the completion of the programme’s 11th cohort, which aims to empower women in business through skill development, market access, and networking opportunities.

Over a six-week period, participants received guidance in five key business areas: strategic management, financial management, operations, sales and marketing, and human resources.
The comprehensive programme included masterclasses led by industry experts, one-on-one mentorship sessions, sector-focused discussions, and book reviews to enhance entrepreneurial knowledge.
NNEW President Adefunke Kuyoro commended the mentees for their dedication and highlighted the programme’s importance in promoting sustainable business growth among women entrepreneurs.
“This graduation marks the start of a new chapter where these women will make impactful contributions to the economy,” she said.
FCMB’s Head of Women Banking, Nnenna Jagogo-Jack, delivered a keynote address reaffirming the bank’s dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs.
She encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme to further develop their businesses.
Dr. Yemisi Adeyeye, Managing Director and Cofounder of Lifefount Hospital, gave an enlightening lecture on “Investment Readiness for Business Owners.”
She highlighted the significance of strategic planning, mentorship, and maintaining solid financial records to secure investments and create scalable business models.
Eniola Mayowa, Project Director, commended the collaborative efforts that made the programme successful.
She stated that participants gained practical skills and self-assurance, enabling them to face real-world challenges and seize opportunities for growth and success in their entrepreneurial journeys.
“This initiative highlights the power of community and knowledge-sharing in fostering entrepreneurial growth,” she added.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates by Pastor Kemisola T’Oluwanimi, Head of NNEW Academy.
