Fresh 105.9 FM, a prominent radio station in Ibadan, Oyo State, reportedly suffered a fire outbreak on Friday night, causing panic among residents and staff.
The incident according to Eko Hot Blog occurred at the station’s headquarters in the Challenge area of the city. Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and flames billowing from the building, prompting urgent calls for help from emergency responders.

A resident who witnessed the incident, identified as Samuel Ibikunle, called for immediate intervention. According to him, “Fresh FM is on fire! We need the fire service to respond immediately. Please notify the closest station.”
As of the time of filing this report, the management of Fresh FM had yet to release an official statement regarding the fire.

However, the Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the response of his team to the situation. “Our personnel are already at the scene and responding to the emergency,” he stated.
