Glitz, Glamour As Teniola And Afolabi Tie The Knot

Teniola and Folabi’s love story is nothing but adorable! Such tales when relished keep the sparkles alive.

On Saturday 18th of December, all roads led to Chapel of Christ The Light, Alausa Ikeja, where they were joined in holy matrimony after which the reception took place immediately at The Grandeur Events Center, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.

The colourful wedding ceremony which was full of glitz and glamour was well attended by friends, family and well-wishers from different parts of the world who stormed the venue to celebrate with the latest couple in town.

According to the groom, the couple met years back in college through a mutual friend, and since then they have become best of friends until he made the decision to spend the rest of his life with her, his true found love.

“Teni and I met in college through a mutual friend. Our first date was at Chachos where we ate ‘Chips with Salsa’, an interesting place for a first date.

“What we are looking forward to the most, besides getting to spend the rest of our lives together, is having everyone that we truly care about come together in a place – that is so beautiful itself, Afolabi told EKO HOT BLOG”

“I love how well we balance each other out. She is someone who cares so much for others, and she’s always there for me. I can’t wait to grow old with you,” Teniola said gazing into his bride’s eyes.

And while Teniola shares her part of their love story, she reiterated how much she loves her husband just the way he loves her.

“After four years together, we just couldn’t wait to celebrate with all of you today.”

Couple’s First Dance

She said, “I love the way he loves me. Teni has a very big heart and he’s always there for his family and friends.”

In his speech, Chairman of the day, Mr Lekan Odubanwo, a retired permanent secretary and an accomplished broadcaster, who was represented by the permanent secretary, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Mr Abiodun Bamgboye, advised the couple to be in one accord, tolerate one another and also learn to communicate so they could survive whatever life throws at them on their journey to forever.

He said, “We could see from the couple that they’re investments worth the while, and it’s obvious that God has blessed them so much to have both parents available for this celebration, and we thank God for this unique grace.

“Now to the couple, if we quantify the time the thousands of people had invested to celebrate you both today, you’ll realize how important you are and a reflection of the love we have for you. We’re excited that you both have come together as one.

“Marriage has its ups and downs, and it’s only those who believe in each other in trying times can scale through.”
“Thank God you both have your parents, you may have learnt from them, but you’ll still have to learn so much going forward. And the most important thing is that you both need to communicate as much as you can, be of good cheer, live together in love and learn to tolerate each other.”

The highlight of the reception includes, the Father and Daughter dance, mother and Son dance, couple grand entry and official first dance, cutting of wedding cake, grooms men and bridesmaid games and lots more..

The ceremony was rounded up with a live band performance, where families and friends get to dance with the latest couple in town.

He who finds a wife, indeed finds a good thing and will always obtain favour from above, and the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step they say.
