Gov. AbdulRazaq Inaugurates TIC Chairmen For 2 LGAs

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has inaugurated the Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) chairmen for Ilorin South and Patigi Local Government Areas.

AbdulRazaq, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, inaugurated the chairmen in his office on Thursday in Ilorin.

The governor charged them to stabilize their local government areas and ensure accountability in the management of funds.

He noted that the local government was the closest tier to the people, adding that with a well-structured local administration, overall development of the grassroots could be achieved.

He said his administration was committed to bringing about development, creating jobs, and reducing poverty.

AbdulRazaq reassured the state government’s support and cooperation within the limits of available resources and constitutional provisions.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Alabere, stated that the inauguration was to fill the vacuum with the expiration of the suspended council’s tenure.

The inaugurated chairmen are Gambari Zubair for Ilorin South Local Government and Mohammed Liman for Patigi local government area.
