Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Timaya, has voiced concerns over the destruction of farmlands by herdsmen in his hometown, Bayelsa State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a post on 𝕏 on Tuesday, the ‘Dem Mama’ crooner appealed to the government to take action, expressing sadness over the situation. He urged the herders to practice ranching instead of allowing their cattle to graze indiscriminately.

“Pls the government should do something. They are destroying farms in Bayelsa. Aboki, take your cow inside and feed them. This is so sad,” he wrote.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, Timaya revealed why he has remained single despite his successful music career. According to him, marriage has never appealed to him, though he hasn’t entirely ruled it out for the future.
He attributed his reluctance to marry to his love for freedom and aversion to stress, emphasizing the importance of open communication in relationships.
“If you have a problem with me, let’s talk about it because I don’t like going to bed thinking about things, I go die o. I don’t like anything to bother me at all,” he stated.
