Manchester City F.C. boss Pep Guardiola has insisted his side will stay focused on their own results in the Premier League title race, saying they can only “do their job and see what happens” as the season reaches its climax.
Eko Hot Blog reports that his comments came after City’s 3–0 victory over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium, a result that reduced the gap to leaders Arsenal F.C. to just two points with three matches remaining.

Despite the win, Guardiola admitted Arsenal remain in control of the title race but stressed that his team’s priority is to keep winning and apply pressure until the end of the season.

City’s victory over Brentford was secured through late goals after a tight first half in which the visitors defended strongly and frustrated the home side.
Jeremy Doku broke the deadlock in the second half with a brilliant strike after his initial attempt was blocked, while Erling Haaland added a second goal with a close-range finish following sustained pressure.
Substitute Omar Marmoush completed the scoring in stoppage time to seal all three points for City.
Brentford had earlier posed problems from set pieces and came close on a few occasions, but City’s attacking quality eventually proved decisive.
Guardiola said the final stretch of the season would be demanding, with several key fixtures still to come, including a crucial league clash against Crystal Palace and an upcoming FA Cup final against Chelsea F.C..

He praised his players for their recent consistency, noting that City have won most of their last few matches as they continue to push for silverware on multiple fronts.
The City manager added that while the team can influence their own performances, the title outcome may still depend on results elsewhere.
Arsenal remain top of the table and are still favourites to secure the championship if they win their remaining fixtures, but City’s latest victory keeps the pressure on heading into the final weeks of the campaign.
